— HOUSE 33 TEMPORARY TYPE BOOKLET:
Fontworks co-sponsored the highly successful St Brides conference last month which had a theme of "Temporary Type". A brilliant full colour booklet was designed by House Industries specially for the conference and features the first season of lettering for their House33 clothing collaboration with fashion impresario Barnzley. If you're a House Industries fan you'll definitely want one of these! Copies of the limited edition booklet, which also features 3 spreads by G-Type's Nick Cooke, are now available to buy (see link below) or are free of charge when ordering any House font pack (while stocks last).

— NEW ARCHIVE TYPE COLLECTION:
Designer Matevz Medja (Gigofonts) has produced a quite brilliant collection of old-style display and script faces that mimic the rugged earthiness of distressed types in dusty old prints, books and pamphlets. The fonts, with the imperfections from years of good service all perfectly preserved, bring a 19th century typography to the digital age.

— LINOTYPE TAKETYPE 4 SPECIAL OFFER: FREE LTD EDITION WATCH!
Why not treat yourself to a pre-Christmas bonus by purchasing the TakeType 4 Special Edition CD which comes with a free limited edition Linotype watch. The CD contains 182 hip and trendy fonts as well and is on offer at £99 (RRP £149). A groovy watch and 50p a font? What are you waiting for?

— NEW DEVICE FONTS RELEASE 7: "PAGODALAND"
The most prolific type designer on earth, Rian Hughes, has increased his Device Library offering by another 27 families and 3 family extensions as part of his release 7, code-named "Pagodaland". Pick of the bunch is the futuristic 'Rogue' family which comes in sans and serif variants and the elegant Venetian class of 'Miserichordia'. With release 8 just about to launch and a fabulous "10 Year Itch" retrospective book available from Fontworks in January the workaholic Mr Hughes shows no signs of slowing down. Just imagine what would happen if he ditched his love of easy listening in favour of hardcore house!

— FONT OF THE MONTH: ANOMOLY
The ALIAS library just gets bettter and better. Take latest release Anomoly for instance. Designed by Gareth Hague, the crisp, squared, robust letterforms give Anomoly a contemporary, eclectic feel. The bold, incised graphic shapes work well at large sizes, but are open and clear enough to make Anomoly a characterful, readable text type.
